What You'll Do
  • Manage Retention team to ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.
  • Utilize data to formulate strategic targets for retention campaigns, and provide measurable progress against goals.
  • Provide innovative ideas and suggestions to improve our market presence.
  • Manage, develop, coach, and motivate the Retention team to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and retention goals are met.
  • Recruit and onboard new staff into team focusing on strong sales competencies and ensure that they perform well through coaching and monitoring skill.
  • Build a sales culture and customer centric atmosphere among the team members.
  • Partner with the VP to create goals for agents to help them reach their maximum potential for retention.
  • Serve as liaison between agents and organization regarding retention and follows up on agency issues.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings and events to promote product and organization.
  • Deliver sales presentations to potential agencies and principals.
  • Report essential product information, changes, or adjustments needed, including agent feedback, to the Product Department.
  • Monitor and communicate the activities (such as filings) and products of the competition to appropriate internal partners. Promotes the maximization of the organization's competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to be a Top Candidate

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.); or related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.

Experience: 3-5 years experience Business Development in Property and Casualty Insurance required. Leadership experience required.

Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Polished communication skills with skill in interpersonal relationships including client de-escalation.
  • Experience meeting commitments to clients and managing client relationships.
  • Experience in communicating with varied organizational tiers and customer types.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Presentation skills including delivery to clients and varied organizational tiers.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment to meet company and client needs.
  • Understanding of market and competition as well as the business implications of decisions.
  • Experienced and Knowledgeable in the principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services.
  • 2-20 License, or ability to obtain 2-20 license within first 30 days, required.
  • Intermediate User- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Salesforce.
