Job Summary
The Director of Auxiliary Programs (DAP) ensures that the school's extended programs, which complement and augment teaching and learning at ACDS, function at the highest quality, with safe, fun, inclusive programs to engage students outside of the classroom. The DAP brings knowledge of learning, education, and childhood development to this role, ensuring children experience the same joy, excitement, relationship-building and sense of community they experience in their classroom environments.
The DAP will create, support, and oversee an array of student life activities including clubs and before- and after-care programs, prioritizing ACDS faculty to lead them, as well as Parent Service Auxiliary (PSA) community events staffed by parent volunteers. The DAP will constantly evaluate student and family needs and interests, and evaluate current programming to determine areas for improvement and/or expansion.
