Job Title: Part-Time Design Center Sales Person (Saturdays and 1 Weekday)

Overview: Paramount Design Center, a division of Latvala Lumber Company, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Design Center Salesperson to join our team. Located in Grand Rapids, MN, our design center specializes in showcasing premium home building products, cabinets, and countertops. Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service during Saturday hours (9am - 1pm) and one weekday, guiding customers through our selection of home building products, cabinets, and countertops.
• Engage with customers to understand their project needs, preferences, and budget constraints, offering tailored recommendations and solutions.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits, including durability, functionality, and design aesthetics, to assist customers in making informed decisions.
• Collaborate with customers and contractors to create customized design solutions, incorporating our products to meet their specific requirements.
• Assist customers in navigating our showroom, ensuring they have access to product samples, catalogs, and pricing information.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing our point-of-sale system and maintaining detailed records.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new product arrivals, and best practices in home design and construction, sharing knowledge with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the design center, including product displays and sample areas, to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail sales, particularly in the home improvement or construction industry, is preferred.
• Genuine interest in home design, with knowledge of building materials, cabinetry, and countertop options.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, contractors, and colleagues.
• Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays from 9am to 1pm and one additional weekday, as scheduled.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in interior design, construction, or sales is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
