Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join our team. As the Tax Director, you will be an intragyral part of the deal team and help guide the tax strategy of the firm. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, filing, and reporting for all holdings. You will work closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and to develop tax strategies that align with our business goals.
Duties:
- Perform tax due diligence on acquisition targets and provide guidance and analysis on valuations
- Collaborate with the partners to establish deal, tax and credit strategies for the company and holdings
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance to management on the impact of proposed transactions
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial statement reporting for tax purposes
- Oversee the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assist in the resolution of any tax-related issues
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and tax prep software
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
- In-depth understanding of technical accounting principles and GAAP
- Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Experience with financial accounting for private equity or public accounting firms
- Ability to perform complex account analysis and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
