Job Summary:
As a Clerk in the Collector/Treasurer's office, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This office is based around customer service. Communication & computer skills are a must. This position requires learning a tax software program, balancing a daily cash drawer, keeping accurate records and working closely with other county offices. Successful applicant must be able to be bonded and have acceptable background check.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing documents
- Maintain accurate records and update databases
- Assist with order entry and inventory management
- Provide customer service & customer support both in-person & on-phone
Experience:
- Previous experience balancing cash drawers is helpful
- Previous experience balancing ledgers, reconciliation of check registers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient computer literacy
