Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nursing care within our facility. This includes developing and implementing care plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and supervising nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home care and assisted living, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care
- Manage medication administration and ensure accurate documentation
- Monitor resident health status and make necessary adjustments to care plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in nursing care

Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in the state of Alabama
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
