OKLAHOMA VASCULAR AND EMBOLIZATION CENTER BY FLEX... is Hiring a Radiology Tech OVEC Near Oklahoma, OK

Diagnostic Imaging: Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including Mini C-Arm, X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and fluoroscopy, according to established protocols and physician orders.

2. Patient Care: Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Position patients correctly and securely on imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.

3.Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and fluoroscopy units. Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly to produce accurate diagnostic images.

4. Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to ionizing radiation for patients, staff, and oneself. Use lead aprons, shields, and other protective equipment as necessary to ensure safety during imaging procedures.

5. Image Quality Control: Review diagnostic images for clarity, accuracy, and completeness. Retake images as needed to ensure optimal diagnostic quality. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to obtain additional images or views as requested.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of imaging procedures, including patient information, imaging parameters, and any adverse reactions or incidents. Ensure all documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with healthcare regulations.

7. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and performance improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices in radiology.

Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program. Current licensure or certification as a radiologic technologist in the state of practice.

2. Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification required. Additional certifications in specific modalities (e.g., CT, MRI) may be preferred.

3. Experience: Previous experience working as a radiology technician in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. New graduates with a strong interest in diagnostic imaging are encouraged to apply.

4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and imaging software. Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other members of the radiology team.

6. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and protocols. Ability to accurately position patients and adjust imaging parameters to obtain optimal images.
