The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire Service and Parts department at the dealership. This includes hiring, training and managing the performance of Team Members, as well as serving as the department's main contact with Guests, vendors, and representatives.

*Schedule is: Tues-Sat, 8am-5pm

Essential Functions

• Influence guests to make a purchase decision with us.
• Create goals and objectives for the department and lead Service Team to achieve
• Responsible for hiring and oversight of all Service and Parts Team Members
• Provide guidance on policies and procedures for all department personnel.
• Responsible for onboarding process of all new hires, and training requirements throughout the Team Member’s employment.
• Oversees monthly Safety Committee
• Ensure Service Technician skills are up to date through technical training and achievement of 5-Rivet Status. Stay abreast of new and available training being offered.
• Keep current on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
• Maintain the highest Total Guest Experience (TGE)
• May contribute to sales, budget and productivity forecasting
• Maintain and collect daily log and service report from Technicians and gather information on faulty products and systems for necessary action.
• Prepare all reports regarding Service department
• Troubleshoot obstacles or roadblocks that may occur throughout the day
• May, on occasion, speak to larger groups during camp rally’s, owner’s clinics, etc.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working order and arrange for replacement or repair if necessary
• Follow all stated OSHA guidelines.
• In conjunction with Service Advisors, may follow-up with Guests on the status of their unit.
• Gain superior product knowledge to effectively help Guests with service maintenance requirements and warranty information.
• Responsible for ensuring every unit is quality controlled before it is taken out of the shop and delivered to Guest, per write-up process.

Qualifications

• Previous RV industry experience, a plus
• Previous success as a dealership Service Manager
• Strong communication and customer engagement skills
• Possess ability to meet and exceed automotive industry standards in service, operations
• CDK experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Active Listening & Critical Thinking
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence​
