Job Description:

The Groundsman is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance and safety of various outdoor spaces. This role requires proficiency in rigging operations, equipment operation, and driving various types of vehicles. The candidate must adhere to strict safety standards, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and efficiently execute various landscaping and groundskeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist tree climbers with technical removals during rigging operations.
• Set up and break down rigging equipment, ensuring its safe and proper use.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of rigging safety and methodology.
• Operate small equipment as needed as well as chippers
• Possess and maintain a valid California Class C driver's license.
• Safely and effectively operate chipper trucks and chase trucks for various job site tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely and efficient completion of tasks

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field, with additional experience in rigging operations.
• Basic knowledge of plants, landscape materials, gardening tools, and rigging equipment.
• Familiarity with the safe operation and maintenance of various landscaping and rigging equipment.
• A valid California Class C driver's license is required.
• Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as well as safety guidelines and protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.
• Punctuality and reliability, with a strong work ethic and a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining a consistent schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
