Now Hiring - Inventory Control Specialist - Marlborough, MA

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm w/flexible weekends

The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for controlling inventories and availability of product materials and components necessary to support the timely manufacture, assembly and shipments of product needed to satisfy customer requirements and desired inventory levels. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Understand and evaluate inventory count and other inventory management procedures as necessary to effectively manage inventory to minimize errors and reduce obsolete materials.
2. Responsible for shipping and receiving of parts and supplies. Lead/assist with pulling/packaging of ship-along kits, depot kits, etc. Pull/package finished goods for shipping.
3. Responsible for stocking and maintaining inventory. Move materials from location to location as needed to facilitate product flow through factory. Update MRP software with location changes
4. Maintain neat and orderly stocking locations
5. Inspect incoming shipments from carriers for apparent damage. Open, count, and verify contents of new materials against PO. Receive new materials systematically and process receivers. Move received materials to warehouse.
6. Open and verify contents of field returned materials and stage for repair.
7. Assist production planning by creating, monitoring and closing manufacturing and rework orders in the MRP system.
8. Lead cycle-counting efforts, and research and reconciliation of count discrepancies
9. Lead efforts leading up to, during, and after third-party Physical Inventory counts
10. Responsible for researching inventory discrepancies
11. Assist with identifying and processing of nonconforming materials. Maintain non-conforming material items.
12. Assist with identifying and processing of excess and obsolete inventory
13. Maintain and reorder warehouse supplies as needed

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• 3 years experience in inventory control
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel
• Knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook
• Familiar with principles and requirements of an MRP system
• Ability to perform cycle counts as well as full physical inventory counts
• Good to superior analytical skills and variance determination
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/functions with high level of detail
• Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
