Now Hiring - Lead Pharmacy Technician - [Partners Pharmacy New Jersey 50 Lawrence Road Springfield NJ 07081]

Hours: Mon-Friday 8-4:30pm; every other weekend Sa-Su 8-4:30pm; 2 major and 1 minor holiday

The Lead Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Oversees training of all Pharmacy Technicians assigned in accordance with local SOP’s.
2. Constantly monitors policies and practices to ensure compliance and corrects/reports shortcomings to the Director/PIC.
3. Assists with the scheduling, and rotation and movement of personnel, to ensure that production requirements are met.
4. Overall supervisory responsibility for Pharmacy Technicians in all production areas.
5. Ensures individual production requirements are met and standards maintained.
6. Prepares and dispenses medications and maintains related records for patients under the supervision of pharmacist.
7. Prepares, packages, labels and distributes medication doses prescribed by physician.
8. Maintains inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock and checking expiration date of pharmaceuticals.
9. Fills/stocks medications in various automated devices.
10. Operates various types of pharmacy automation

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license
• 3 years experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment
• Experience in Frameworks, a definite plus
• Communication, problem solving and organizational skills a must.
• Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlines.
• Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must!
• Strong customer service skills
