Job Description of the Scheduler

Lay the Foundation company information:

We are a family-owned business specializing in providing insurance underwriting Loss Control inspection reports. We work directly with companies that assign orders from their insurance Underwriter clients. If hired, you will join our current Scheduler in creating efficient routes and appointments for your assigned field inspectors.

Our friendly team is available to support your business by providing:

  • Order assignments
  • Insurance Inspector partners
  • Platform to manage scheduled appointments
  • Assistance with questions

Pay: We pay a competitive standard flat fee per appointment scheduled. Our typical flat fee is $10 per appointment scheduled, with limited exceptions. Multiple appointments may be scheduled in the hour, so your hourly rate will largely depend on your efficiency in scheduling! If at least two appointments are scheduled within an hour, that would equate to $20 /hour. Work will be performed virtually, in the state of Illinois.

Job Type: Independent Contractor

We are currently seeking virtual Scheduler applicants, in Illinois, who are qualified to work in the USA and have a history of direct administrative experience, including scheduling appointments for a team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives assignments electronically and reviews for inspection locations and due dates.
  • Works with assigned field inspectors to understand any preferences in scheduling for the week and adheres to inspectors' provided instructions.
  • Calls and/or emails insured to schedule insurance inspection appointment of their property/premises, as applicable.
  • Use electronic tools such as Maps, to create efficient route for inspectors.
  • Updates shared online application with all progress notes, scheduling status and inspection details needed to streamline communication to and from insurance clients.
  • Performs light administrative duties as requested or required by LTF team, including assigned field inspectors, in connection with the scheduled inspection site.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience providing administrative support, including scheduling for a team (required)
  • Understanding of maps and routing tools to create most efficient routes for assigned inspectors (required)
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and communicate well verbally and in writing (required)
  • 1 year's experience providing administrative support within the insurance industry, or planning routes for drivers (preferred)
