Immediate Need! Staff Accountant On site role

Under the supervision of the Controller, the Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in the following areas:

• Providing support for accounts payable and receivable functions
• Streamlining and managing the company's bookkeeping processes
• Assessing and reporting on financial budgets while monitoring expenses
• Applying and interpreting accounting policies, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance
• Conducting reconciliation of landfill statements
• Undertaking basic office tasks including filing, data entry, phone handling, and mail processing
• Compiling and generating financial reports as required
• Safeguarding the confidentiality of all financial data
• Executing transactions, issuing checks, and maintaining ledger records and budgets
• Assisting in audits, conducting fact checks, and resolving discrepancies

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Possession of an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field
• 5 experience in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency in computer skills with a focus on MS Office, particularly MS Excel, and QuickBooks
• Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles
• Exemplary attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional time management abilities coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated professionalism and adherence to ethical standards
• Proven capacity to handle diverse priorities while meeting deadlines
