2 -3 Direct Support Professionals PCA

Responsibilities

Client is a young adult high functioning autistic gender fluid individual and self directed with guidance, reminders and prompting

Supporting the individual in maintaining a clean and safe living environment through guidance, reminders and prompting

Accompany individual to medical appointments

Document and report any changes in behavior or health

Accompany individual in the community for social skills activities and role modeling.

Assists by utilizing reminders, guidance, prompting the individual with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing appropriately for the weather and grooming.

Assist and monitor medications according to prescribed schedules.

Assist the client with healthy meal preparation

Provide companionship and social skills development

Physical Fitness Routines in community, gym and parks

Ability to transport individuals as needed

Mobility training-utilizing public transportation

Knowledge of Activities of Daily Living

Client is Gender Fluid

Accompany Clients to Church and events

Accompany Client to LGBTQ events

ABLITY TO PASS A LIVE SCAN BACKGROUND CHECK

Experience

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience

Have experience with agitated behaviors

Experience and some knowledge with ABA is preferred

Knowledge of home care practice and universal precautions

Experience working with individuals on the spectrum

Monitor and document any changes in behavior or health status

Implement individualized care plans and follow specific protocols

Foster a safe and supportive environment for this young adult.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
