Position Description

Bridgenext is seeking a Senior Software Developer with experience in .Net/Azure, microservices, and cloud technologies. In this role you will be joining a dynamic and growing team to perform development on a Cloud based application as a back end engineer. You will primarily be working on developing .net core RESTful APIs, which integrate with Kafka and Azure services. Additional responsibilities as a Senior Developer may include code reviews, coordinating with Offshore & Technical Teams, Architecture Reviews, etc. 

Core Technology Stack: In this role you will primarily be working with .Net Core and C# on a Cloud based web application deployed on Azure. It's an event driven architecture making use of Micro-services and Kubernetes. You will be working on .net core RESTful APIs, which integrate with Kafka and Azure services.

Employment Type: This a full time, permanent position with benefits.

Workplace: Remote, working from home and travelling occasionally when required. Time zone will be in Central Standard Time (CST). 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working with .Net Core, C# and Azure on a Cloud based web application deployed on Azure
• Collaborating with the Product Manager, Technical Architects, Offshore Team, and other developers to design and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Building RESTFul APIs with .Net Core and Azure PAAS services
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Engaging in the full development life cycle including architectural design and testing
• Staying current on software engineering trends & tools, and be practical but open-minded in applying them
• Maintaining a high bar for quality and performance of your product with vigorous attention to detail and unit testing
• Continuously improving how we design, build, and ship software as a highly functional team

Must Have Skills:

• 5 years of experience developing .Net. based applications
• 4 years of experience developing RESTFul APIs using .Net/C#
• Familiarity with .Net Core and strong proficiency in C#
• Familiarity with Azure Devops, ARM Templates, Terraform
• Familiarity with Microservices Architecture
• Exposure to GraphQL and Kafka

Preferred Skills: 

• Exposure to system design
• Prior experience in a working with offshore team
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and Kafka
• Prior experience working on projects in the logistics/3PL domain
• Experience with EDI
