SUMMARY: Under the direction of the VP business banking, the business services manager is responsible for developing, managing, supporting, and growing the ongoing sales of all business deposit and small business loan products. The incumbent leads, motivates, develops, and guides fellow employees to understand business deposit products and to meet individual and credit union goals. The position also assists business members in choosing the appropriate products to meet their needs and helps establish the accounts for the member. In their role as part of the business banking department, the business services manager informs and executes departmental strategies and works with others within the credit union to ensure alignment and consistency across all delivery channels. It is expected that the position will travel up to 50% of the time within the credit union’s field of membership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
ADDITIONAL: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Finance, Economics, Accounting, etc.) or equivalent work experience required.
Experience: Seven plus years of business deposit and small business loan sales experience with a financial institution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of business deposit and small business loan products and applicable laws and regulations. Make decisions based on established guidelines but be an innovative problem solver- flexibility and creativity a must. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. Possesses strong organization skills. Ability to integrate new technologies into daily activities to enhance efficiency and productivity. Strong negotiation and influence skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Must be able to work cooperatively with other co-workers regardless of personality, presence or communication style. Must be able to provide cordial member service regardless of member personality, presence or communication style. Must be able to coordinate multiple and changing priorities.
Other: Perform other related duties as assigned or associated with the responsibility.
