Position: Analytical Development Associate III

A position is immediately available within our Research group for an Analytical Development Associate III. Capricor seeks a highly motivated and creative individual who is capable of independent work in a collaborative environment, to be a part of a fast-moving innovative team. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature reviews
• Collect and analyze data
• Maintain accurate records of data, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary
• Summarize experiment and data
• Provide ready access to all experimental data for the team researcher and/or supervisor
• Attend project meetings
• Summarize project results
• Prepare progress reports for the PI and PD, QC and manufacturing
• Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations
• Monitor the project reagents and materials
• Tissue harvesting and submitting samples for histology
• Sterile tissue culture
• RNA/DNA isolation from cells or tissues
• Flow cytometry analysis; and
• Perform PCR, qRT-PCR, or other basic molecular biology techniques
• Optimize assays such as ELISA, qPCR, NGS, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays
• Assist in the from-scratch design of potential assays (reagent selection, antibody compatibility, assay timing, etc.)
• Proficient in mammalian cell culture (adherent, suspension, primary cells, and cell lines)
• Engage with the AD team as a senior contributor by assisting with data organization and analysis
• Participate in cross-departmental projects with research, product development, and quality control
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time

Requirements:

• B.S. with 6 years biotech experience, M.S. with 4 years biotech experience. in bioengineering, biochemistry, or related scientific field.
• Ability to work as part of a team are required and to complete experiments, analyze data and provide results to end-users in a timely fashion is required
• Expertise and trouble shooting skills on molecular biology and cell culture.
• GMP experience preferred but not required
• Experience with flow cytometry, functional assays, DNA, RNA and protein analysis is preferred
