Salary: $25 / hour

Summary:

The Project Assistant is to assist in the execution and finalization of projects in accordance with strict deadlines. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations and in accordance with the Construction Coordinator and Project Managers, the Project Assistant will assist in daily responsibilities listed below or other duties as needed. The Project Assistant must coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors and/or consultants to simultaneously deliver administrative tasks in a timely manner. The Project assistant will oversee quality control as it pertains to field documentation and maintain the safety standards as they apply to all field employees. The Project Assistant exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer. Always represents the company in a professional and courteous manner and in accordance with the Company's mission and core values.

Description of responsibilities:

  • Prepare Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Task Planning (PTP), Safety reports daily and as required to maintain compliance with client requirements.
  • Assist in preconstruction material submittals, safety submittals, purchase orders and sub contracts, etc… to support the Project Managers and continue to develop specific skills and knowledge for JKC self-performed work.
  • Distribute and return materials and information from office to field and vice versa as needed to include HR Communications, core values materials, access and badging applications, drug testing kit and forms, and safety / PPE materials.
  • Prepares and distributes daily project status reports and photographs required for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regularly travels between worksites and office location
  • Regularly communicate with Construction Coordinator regarding additional tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required experience:

  • Excellent communication, time management, multi-task prioritization and organizational skills
  • Strong desire to work in the construction industry
  • Associates Degree in Business Administrative, or administrative related and/or 2 years of related work experience
  • Customer services oriented
  • Proactive, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve potential issues or conflicts.
  • Proficiency in use of computers, tablets, and software programs such as MS365 and other cloud based software.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk in various weather conditions for long period of time
  • Ability to operate in ever changing environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse group or individuals / clients

Preferred skills / Certificates

  • CPR / first Aid certified.
  • OSHA 30
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Trades or Construction industry experience.
