IT Business & Support SAC is Hiring a Remote Bookkeeper (Remote) FT/PT

Bookkeeping/Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. A successful accounting clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a knack for numbers. Ultimately, a successful Accountant will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. This position works a largely % in Quickbooks Online and a few in Quickbooks Desktop. The bookkeeper will use their expertise to remotely process monthly, weekly, and daily bookkeeping tasks through our task management system. You will be involved in all aspects of client support and services with the daily and monthly bookkeeping.

REQUIREMENTS:

1 years of demonstrated ability to provide detailed bookkeeping and accounting support for/in a professional organization.

1 years QuickBooks Online Experience, preferred certification (please specify which versions you have experience in)

Fully Set up to work remotely in a dedicated office space with a reliable, high-speed internet connection and preferrably a minimum of 2 monitors.

Experience in Dropbox suites, Microsoft 365 products, Microsoft Excel(2 years minimum)

You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally - both orally and in writing.

You must be able to identify and recommend areas to provide value-added services.

Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Experience with accounting software. High school diploma or equivalent required, with some bookkeeping coursework. Associate’s degree preferred. One year of related experience required. Experience with Sage software preferred but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

These tasks vary depending on the client and their individual needs for bookkeeping services. Possible tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.

Maintain the chart of accounts.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Manage bookkeeping & accounting journal entries.

Conduct monthly banking and financial institution reconciliations.

Monthly review of all General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

Close client’s books monthly, quarterly and yearly for financial statement preparation.

Assist in preparing the client’s financial statements for quarterly estimated tax payment analysis and annual tax return preparation.

Reviews accounts payable invoices, assigns vendor numbers and similar identifying data, and confirms correct accounting codes were used.

· Enters vendor information into the accounting software system; verifies that invoice information is entered correctly.

· Issues payments to vendors as approved.

· Processes routine monthly payments as approved.

· Answers vendor questions by researching accounts.

· Prepares payroll reports and performs all associated tasks.

· Performs other duties as assigned.
