We have an immediate opening in our home office located in Hanover, Maryland. This inside position is responsible for conducting liability and coverage investigations, bodily injury and property damage evaluations, as well as successfully negotiating the settlement of first and third party injury and property damage claims.
Duties
- Assist claims representatives in processing and managing insurance claims
- Review and analyze supporting documentation
- Assist with the preparation of claim reports and documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized claim files
- Communicate with policyholders and other parties involved in the claims process
- Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Provide administrative support to the claims department as needed
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High degree of motivation and team orientation
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a clerical or administrative role required
