This position is an EARLY morning shift. Typically starting at 5:30am or 6:00, depending on the day of the week. Each shift would be approximately 6 hours.

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner within the complimentary breakfast area of the hotel.

Responsibilities:

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
• Greet all guests as they enter the breakfast area, while also ensuring to check on guests as they are seated for any additional services that can be offered.
• Ensure breakfast items are cooked/prepared in accordance with brand standards and established guidelines.
• Clear, clean and reset tables/hotel spaces as guests finish their breakfast.
• Accommodate any special requests made by a guest and offer appropriate alternatives when necessary.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties as required.
• Perform any other duties or attend meetings as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel/food service preferred
• Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state/hotel brand
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions
• Ability to communicate with guests and fellow staff through verbal and written communication. As interaction with guests is required with this role, the ability to speak and understand English is beneficial.
