About the Role:

The Sales Manager, Mid-Market is an opportunity to be a leader on our sales team as we double in size in 2024. You will bring leadership, mentorship, and sales coaching to a team of Mid-Market Account Executives. You should have a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams by raising-the-bar with new hires, setting team goals, motivating, and developing a passionate group of professionals.

What will you be doing?

Lead the mid-market segment within TravelPerk US - $400,000 to $1,000,000 in Travel Budget

  • Build a strategy for US Mid-Market sales team (Senior Sales Executives)
  • Implement strategy & tactics to reach or exceed all team quotas
  • Collaborate closely with our Partnerships team to integrate global partnership strategy and any local partnerships into the workflow of your team
  • Work in collaboration with your VP Sales, Sales Director, fellow sales managers, critical support functions including GTM Ops to define the forecast and resourcing
  • Align regularly with leaders of Account Management to define resourcing for the Account Management team and create fusion across Sales, Implementation, and Account Management
  • Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual targets

Lead your team

  • Hold weekly 1:1s to design and facilitate team meetings/training sessions
  • Recruit, develop, manage, coach, and mentor a world class Mid-Market Sales team for TravelPerk US.
  • Develop in-depth and detailed understanding of TravelPerk products and GTM strategy to confidently provide mentorship for your sales team
  • Motivate at both the team and individual levels, building a strong culture of high performance, constant training and support among all team members

Contribute to overall strategy

  • Build reports for Sales Director regarding your team, sector and market
  • Input on the overall strategy for TK US and the global company
  • Leverage Demand Gen and Marketing resources to optimize the existing lead funnel & drive lead generation

What will you need to succeed?

  • Significant experience as a Sales Manager responsible for pipeline generation, revenue accountability and people leadership
  • Solid B2B experience
  • Experience in start-up is preferable
  • Persistence, Resilience, Humility, and Scrappiness. A Builder and Go-Getter
  • Empathetic leadership and team development skills
  • Consistent track record of scaling positive organizational cultures that attract great people and keep them motivated
  • Experienced in building, scaling, coaching and leading Sales teams
  • Someone who doesn't just manage but really engages with the team on a more personal level to ensure team alignment and employee wellness
