Porters Dining & Bar is Hiring an Assistant General Manager in Training Near College Station, TX
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, curating schedules, hiring new staff, and supporting existing staff in a fine-dining restaurant environment.
**Duties:**
- Help manage food production, ensuring quality and consistency
- Assist in shift management, including scheduling and supervision of staff
- Utilize Lightspeed POS system for order processing and inventoy control
- Support food preparation activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Provide hospitality to guests, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly
- Contribute to maintaining excellence in the food industry standards
- Assist in inventory control to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Knowledge of coffee preparation and service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
**Requirements:**
- Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry
- Strong understanding of food production and inventory management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and regulations
