Position Description:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) for Schultes is responsible for providing high levels of customer service through accurate and timely response to customer order placement, credit requests, and other customer inquiries. The CSR is a key part of the customer interface and responsible for meeting key metrics that contribute to service, quality, and on-time delivery. Daily the CSR will need to demonstrate a sense of urgency to the customer, ensuring follow-up and resolution to build and strengthen customer relationships. The CSR will learn and maintain product knowledge and collaborate across the Company to provide accurate and timely information to ensure customer satisfaction. The CSR role is a full-time position with the typical work schedule of 8:00 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Tasks:

  • Answer customers' questions about quotes, services, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
  • Recommend services to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
  • Constant follow-up to the customer on estimates or quote prices, credit or contract terms and delivery dates.
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Gather drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
  • Obtain credit information about prospective customers.

Needed Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

Knowledge:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software Experience. SPM utilizes Made2Manage Shop Management Solution therefore experience with this software would be great, but any ERP experience will do.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
