Job Description:

  • Layout, wiring and mounting of custom truck bodies on trucks.
  • Setting up and operating machines that will cut, bend, saw and punch steel into custom parts for body mounting.
  • Completing mechanics work such as working with hydraulics and mount PTO (power take offs) and pumps.
  • Ensure high quality and on time production of all Warren products that are or will soon be fabricated, assembled and/or installed per the Schedule
  • Supervise and direct all direct reports to ensure they are completing their assigned responsibilities, meeting quality expectations, and delivering on scheduled production dates
  • Maintain administration of attendance of all direct reports in timekeeping/payroll software
  • Adhere to all standards, regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements as mandated by OSHA, state, and federal laws. This includes all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for maintenance personnel and those operating and/or testing equipment
  • Uphold he highest level of safety, conducting monthly safety meetings
  • Following the Warren Handbook, appropriately discipline any employee who is not effectively performing their duties or adhering to Warren policies and standards
  • Ensure/maintain all Warren equipment, vehicles, property, machinery to maximize useful life
  • Recruit and maintain the required number of staff members to maintain needed levels of production; hiring, terminating, and educating employees on proper procedures and guidelines
  • Provide customer service support when needed by sales
  • Work with designs of jigs and fixtures to better guarantee consistent quality products
  • Work with President/Owners on any/all needed shop hand tools, welding equipment, or other capital equipment
  • Work with purchasing to update the requisition spreadsheet or email the purchaser to maintain needed levels of inventory and make sure all parts for jobs are available for each job in accordance with the Schedule
  • Look for ways to improve workflow efficiency and safety
  • Verify and investigate any accident in the shop according to Warren Handbook
  • Provide daily updates to production schedule checkpoints to indicate a product’s progress
  • Be a team player and enhance the team environment
  • Handle all walk-in customer support and part sales
  • Perform monthly materials costing
  • Scan and email all payables invoices to AP@dumptrucks.com
  • Adhere to the Warren Handbook
  • Foster a safe, team-oriented environment to reduce turnover and increase employee satisfaction

Qualifications and Education Requirements

This position requires a college degree or 10 years equivalent industry experience. General manufacturing knowledge with experience working in and around a manufacturing facility is preferred. The employee must have had at least 7 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Skills

The employee must have excellent knowledge and understanding of company products, policies, and procedures. This position requires the ability to make important decisions autonomously. The employee must have excellent personal skills, and be able to work in and foster a team environment. The employee must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, current Financial and Sales software, and presentation skills.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will operate primarily in a shop setting, but may be required to spend frequent time in the office and field. In this role, the employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

The employee is expected to be on time, ready to work on a daily basis. Normal business hours are determined by the employee’s manager.

Travel

This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel may require overnight stays outside of town.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
