Job Description:
This position is a full-time position responsible for managing and operating Warren Truck Equipment to ensure all bodies, flatbeds, wet kits, and other products are installed and maintained according to company and NTEA guidelines. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
This position is a full-time position responsible for managing and operating Warren Truck Equipment to ensure all bodies, flatbeds, wet kits, and other products are installed and maintained according to company and NTEA guidelines. The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain shop day-to-day production activities, monitor and prioritize workflow and schedules
- Supervise all employees, providing training and technical direction as needed
- Responsible for hiring, training and reviewing performance of staff
- Willing to cross-train by moving to other work areas/departments in order to support production needs
- Inspect assembly/components for conformance of specifications and quality
- Create and follow the designated schedule to make sure all units are ready for pick up/delivery on time
- Ensure quality control on all bodies in the shop? making sure to inspect welds, cuts, bends, and other technical components of each unit for quality assurance
- Make sure the facility is secure, clean, and properly shut down at the end of each workday. Examples: turn off all lights, machines, etc.
- Make sure all employees clock in and out on time and work full shift
- Enforce the Warren points program and record points in the timeclock system
- Use and conduct proper care of Personal Protective Equipment and make sure all team members do the same
- Adhere to all safety parameters as outlined in the Warren Handbook
- Stay up to date on appropriate wiring and plumbing for all components, asking for assistance as necessary from vendors or upper management
- Carefully inspect (using the Warren Checklist and inspection iPad) each unit as the final inspector prior to delivery or pickup
- Utilize the requisition sheet to alert the purchasing department when parts are needed
- Work with management team to keep facilities up to date, maintained, and in proper working order
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, keeping the shop, office, and property clean and maintained
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, stand for extended periods of time, bend, kneel, reach overhead, push pull a cart, walk upstairs as needed.
- Learn the current costing methods to efficiently cost each job for the sales team with goal of building compete BOMs for all products and establishing price sheets for all products
- Work with the lead mechanic to maintain proper inventory levels in support of manufacturing and/or installation
- Review monthly materials costing with management
- Prepare for and participate in bi-weekly management meetings
- Attend tradeshows and open houses as needed and asked by management team
- Handle all walk-in customer support and part sales on an as needed basis
- Handle phone calls for customer service, quoting, and other inquiries
- Participate in team atmosphere
