Role
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts.
Essential Functions
  • Read blueprints and program, set up and operate manufacturing machines to produce required parts.
  • Promote and strictly adhere to all Tally HSE policies and practices.
  • Understand and comply with all Tally or external quality standards relevant to position.
  • Conduct Housekeeping in accordance with the 5S method.
  • Meet daily and weekly production goals.
  • Perform quality checks on parts using calipers and micrometers.
  • Adjust offsets on machines, as required.
  • Carry out prevent maintenance (PM) on equipment as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Tally HSE policies and procedures, Tally's Core Values and all applicable legal requirements.
Qualifications
Q UALIFICATIONS & R EQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 years CNC experience.
  • Basic understanding of Mazatrol and G & M Codes.
  • Weiler E70 or E90 experience preferred.
  • Experience with gear shapers preferred.
  • Able to hold close tolerances.
  • Highly proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to travel locally or long-distance on an occasional basis.
  • Available to be on call 24 hours a day seven days per week on periodic basis.

  • Capacity to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders (employees, clients and vendors).
  • Capable of making independent decisions on tasks that are part of the position's day-to-day activities.
  • Good at managing own on-the-job time, multitasking and arriving consistently to work as scheduled and on time.
  • Capable of understanding and responding effectively to client/vendor/internal inquiries or requests on day-to-day activities.
  • Understanding of how position and performance contribute to Company's success.
W ORK E NVIROMENT & Physical Demands
  • This position requires working primarily in an industrial facility, which may not be temperature controlled around machines with moving parts and electrical equipment. It also requires exposure to loud noises and contaminants. The employee is occasionally required to operate vehicles and drive long distances on company business.
