We are looking for experienced service managers to run the day to day service of our Flatiron location and support our GM. The opportunity for growth here is exceptional as we are ready to open new locations.The ideal candidate will have strong hands on service experience and communication skills as well as a passion for the industry.
The Service Manager will have bottom-line responsibility and accountability for the fiscal health of the restaurant and must be the 'face' of the restaurant by adhering to these position responsibilities:Restaurant Operations* Oversee the floor by interacting with guests and staff to ensure smooth service.* Liaise with BOH to ensure that communication between FOH and BOH is continual.* Schedule all FOH employees and monitor overtime* Oversee tip reporting and assist with payroll efforts* Daily walk-through to inspect the restaurant and ensure physical plant upkeep.* Ensure equipment (FOH/BOH) maintenance and cleanliness.* Guide, direct, and train service staff; observe the flow of guests, and provide assistance when necessary* Personally involve self with the service of VIP tables* Communicate with the kitchen regarding the pace of service, special needs, and general guest satisfaction* Assist in wine sales and service* Hire and Train the staff to have comprehensive knowledge of the menu, wine list, and service standards* Maintain a healthy, happy, and productive work environment for employees to foster loyalty and dedication
