Gottstein Corporation is Hiring a HVAC Technician Near Hazle, PA
Job Responsibilities:
- Installation: Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioning units, heat pumps, boilers, and ductwork
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
- Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns
- System Testing: Testing HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meeting performance standards
- Customer Service: Interacting with customers to answer questions, explain system issues, and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent on each job
- Compliance: Ensuring that all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Training: Staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair techniques. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Certification: Certification from an accredited HVAC program or relevant trade certification is often required. This may include EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants
- Experience: Previous experience working as an HVAC technician or in a related field is typically preferred
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in cramped spaces, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and explaining technical information in a clear and understandable manner
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed instructions, interpret technical manuals, and accurately document work performed
- Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required for traveling to job sites
