The Systems Technician / Library Assistant is responsible for the initial response to all of the technology issues at the school, and for ensuring the school library is organized and operating efficiently. Specific responsibilities include:

• Responding to Tech Tickets and resolving them in a timely manner. For Tech Tickets that are more complicated the Systems Technician / Library Assistant should escalate the ticket to the appropriate member on the Tech Team.
• Management of the various devices, including:
• the organization of the 1:1 student device program and the staff device program.
• setup of the devices (PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, and iPads).
• distribution of the devices to students, educators, and staff.
• maintenance of the devices (including updates, when applicable).
• repair of damaged devices.
• maintenance of a detailed inventory.
• Support the use of technology in the classroom by troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues as they arise.
• Maintenance of student and staff Google Workspace accounts.
• Set up new accounts for students and staff in various software programs.
• Provide basic maintenance of servers and networking equipment.
• Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot other technical systems, including but not limited to:
• Projectors.
• Interactive displays
• Document cameras.
• Digital cameras.
• VoIP phone system.
• Printers.
• Digital signage.
• Communicate and collaborate with educators, staff, and consultants to ensure that technology is reliable.
• Serve as an active member of the MVSU Technology Department and other Technology Committees as needed.
• Collaborate with the school librarian to manage the school collection, including:
• Shelving books.
• Signing out books to students and staff.
• Ordering books and other materials.
• Coordinate special projects as assigned, including the creation of the school yearbook.
• Fulfill other duties assigned by the Principal, including lunch and/or recess duty.
• May be assigned projects or work at other schools or locations.
• Performs other duties at the discretion of the Director of Technology and Innovation or the Woodstock Elementary School Principal.
