The Mountain Views School Nutrition Program seeks a full-time Kitchen Assistant to join us in the Woodstock Elementary School kitchen.
This position is seven hours per day (7 AM - 2 PM), five days per week, and begins immediately.
Hourly wage starts at $17.74 and increases with education and experience.
We are looking for a dynamic team player to work in our fast-paced kitchen preparing and serving healthy, delicious school meals for our Pre-K through 4th-grade students and staff. Daily responsibilities include completing prep tasks assigned by the Cook Site Leader, serving meals according to a meal service schedule and nutritional requirements, operating the purchase-of-sale register, washing dishes, and cleaning.
Experience working in a commercial kitchen, managing large-scale food prep, and cooking from scratch is recommended. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift 50 pounds plus daily, multi-task, and have a positive attitude throughout the day. Woodstock Elementary serves a high volume of students and staff over a short period, making a sense of humor, a positive attitude, and good communication skills, written and verbal, a must. Serve Safe certification is required within one month of hire.
