This position is ideal for professionals who are local to the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Role Description :

Join our team in a dynamic part-time hybrid role as a Construction Estimator at Alesch Contracting, Inc. You will be pivotal in estimating costs, preparing bids, and providing precise project cost forecasts.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with project owners, analyzing plans, conducting site visits, assisting in sourcing materials, and managing budgets.

Your expertise will play a critical role in the success and profitability of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop accurate cost estimates and prepare bids for high-end residential and commercial projects.
  • Collaborate with owners and project teams to analyze project plans and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure accurate project assessments and estimations.
  • Assist in sourcing materials and managing project budgets to optimize profitability.
  • Contribute to the successful financial and operational outcomes of projects.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role, with a strong track record of accuracy in cost estimations.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and applicable building codes.
  • Proficiency in using project estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to manage complex calculations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to the accuracy of financial forecasts.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and adept at time management.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in estimating or construction management are highly regarded.
