About The Position
Our Host plays a vital role in the restaurant. You are the first person to greet and welcome our guests and most likely the last person they interact with on their way out. Our Hosts should be welcoming, warm, attentive, and engage the guests with a smile when they arrive. Additionally, your responsibilities include managing waitlists and coordinating with servers and managers to ensure our guests are promptly greeted and seated.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Maintain accurate waitlist and seating charts
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations
- Assist servers with food and beverage service as needed
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of food service and restaurant operations
- Familiarity with POS is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Professional phone etiquette
