Position Summary:
The General Technician acts as the primary support for the ACE General Manager by assisting in the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of customer equipment as well as general maintenance within our facilities to maximize efficiency and minimize any potential downtime. The position acts as a Group ambassador by demonstrating a commitment to our brand promise and core values. The General Technician accomplishes this under the direction of the ACE General Manager.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that all customers receive efficient, friendly, superior service with a “customer first” mentality.
Troubleshoots problems, locates, replaces and/or repairs parts, tests, and adjusts equipment as needed.
Performs emergency repairs and Preventative Maintenance including but not limited to espresso machines.
Conducts site surveys, organizes scheduling and installations.
Conduct general maintenance tasks within the NMPC Group.
Maintains a highly organized, clean, safe, inclusive, and efficient working environment.
Ensures proper procedures for purchasing, receiving, and invoice coding are followed and involved in inventory counting.
Maintains accurate documentation and confirmation of each delivery, pick up and work order changes.
Ensures company vehicles are always kept clean and presentable.
Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
Maintains accurate vehicle logs and requests vehicle maintenance service whenever needed.
Operates company vehicles in a safe, courteous, and lawful manner at all times.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Work Environment:
Job duties are performed primarily indoors in a coffee shop / fast food environment. Job responsibilities will require travel between several worksite locations throughout the state. The nature of the job requires the ability to work varied hours on location including evenings, Saturdays, and “On Call” in emergencies as needed. The work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as mechanical, chemical, fire, and electrical hazards. Conditions require a high tolerance for heat, cold, dust, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise.
Physical Requirements:
The nature of the position is varied and requires desk work as well as bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling items, and climbing in and out of vehicles throughout the day. The ability to lift and/or move objects up to 80lbs pounds is required. Good manual dexterity and visual acuity is required to use common office tools and work on various types of coffee equipment. The ability to stand and walk throughout an entire shift is needed.
Education, Experience, and Job Competencies:
Ability to cooperate with others and work harmoniously to get the job done.
Regular attendance and dependability are an essential function of this position.
Analytical, detail oriented, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to be self-motivated and work productively without direct supervision.
Must have strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
CFESA Certification, Journeyman’s’ License, equipment manufacturers certifications a plus.
A willingness to learn new skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.
Familiarity working with or ability to adapt to technology.
Proven ability to be a safe and courteous driver with a clean, insurable DMV record.
Experience in maintaining and repairing equipment in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
