The Office of Privacy and Security is responsible for policy development, system security access and security support for various applications/systems, executing Treasury’s Privacy and Disclosure program and investigating security and privacy incidents.
This position is responsible for executing the privacy and disclosure program requirements for the Department of Treasury. This position will conduct in depth research and analysis of federal and state laws, statutes, and NIST guidelines to develop internal privacy policies and procedures for assigned work areas to ensure compliance. Analyze trends in data reported and evaluate the effectiveness of business area’s procedures. Develop, maintain, and compiles reports for the Treasury Privacy Report. Develops and conducts training for internal and external personnel including Treasury employees/managers, DTMB partners, other state agencies, vendors, and local governments when applicable on privacy and disclosure best practices. Additionally, this position monitors and maintains the incident reporting program, classifies incidents and determines remedial action and provides guidance to business areas on required notification processes as needed. This position also functions as a primary contact to the public to assist with requests for personally identifiable information and confidential tax information.
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience for Departmental Analyst 9-P11
No specific type or amount is required.
One year of professional experience.
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
