State of Michigan - Department of Treasury is Hiring a Departmental Analyst (Trainee) 9-P11 Near Dimondale, MI

The Special Taxes Division is comprised of motivated, hard-working team members and is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated addition to the team to serve as a Departmental Analyst. If you have the ability to multi-task, set priorities, work independently, and identify areas of improvement, this may be the perfect job for you. The Special Taxes Division specializes in a small, yet complex set of taxes and fees and takes pride in providing excellent customer service while always looking for ways to improve what we do.

This position is responsible for supporting the Motor Fuel and IFTA Taxes Section, which includes a wide range of duties and responsibilities and opportunities with growth.

The preferred candidate for this job will have the following skills:

  • Experience analyzing data, running queries and identifying system changes.
  • Experience analyzing and researching information to provide recommendations for operational improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating training as needed.
  • Problem solving skills with a positive attitude.
  • Experience compiling reports.

Education for Departmental Analyst 9-12
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
