The Iowa Utilities Board (IUB) is seeking a Management Analyst 1 in its Customer Service department to assist with the IUB’s custom web-based applications (EFS and IUB 24/7). The full-time contract-covered position reports to the manager of Customer Service. This position’s primary responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting the IUB’s custom web-based applications. Other duties include assisting with IT project management, reviewing and preparing communication to stakeholder inquiries, and working on special projects. An IT degree is not required for this position.
The IUB has several large system upgrades planned for the future, in addition to several on-going projects. The employee in this position will assist with documenting requirements, preparing training/communication materials, and updating vendor tickets. The successful candidate should be a highly organized self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates with experience in Microsoft Excel, data analytics, entry-level project management, or team leadership are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be assigned special task assignments based on their skill set, including working directly with the IUB’s Chief Information Officer to assist with inventory management and desktop support tasks and technology troubleshooting. This employee will also support audio/visual technology for internal and external meetings using meeting software (Google Meet, Zoom, WebEx, etc.).
This position is eligible for a promotional opportunity in one year upon successful completion of state requirements. The position may require travel, including overnight stays.
