CommerceBear is on a mission to empower home furnishing suppliers to diversify and grow their revenue. Publishing products to multiple marketplaces and retailers is time consuming and error prone, often limiting a suppliers' sales footprint. The CommerceBear platform solves the pain of publishing product listings, creating higher quality listings on a greater number of sales channels, enabling suppliers to reach their full potential.
About the role
Thousands of products are published to marketplaces every day through CommerceBear and that number is only increasing. Businesses across North America rely on CommerceBear to get their products in front of potential customers and ensure their listings are of the highest possible quality. This is why we need you. You will help us build the most intuitive and easy to use platform for publishing product listings while ensuring the platform is performant, reliable, and scalable.
What You'll Achieve:

• Write clean, secure, tested, and documented code.
• Design and plan new features from the ground up.
• Contribute to architecture and infrastructure decisions.
• Monitor & scale the architecture of the platform and the infrastructure.
• Write technical documentation, contribute to determining internal processes.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• 6 years of experience building scalable platforms.
• Good understanding of database internals like transactions, indexes.
• Experienced in data modeling and schema design.
• Familiar with working on the AWS platform, and acquaintance with technologies like ECS, AWS Lambda, Elastic Load Balancer.
• Good understanding of docker internals.
• Good communication skills, good leadership skills, attention to detail, a sound understanding of algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Relentless resourcefulness, you can work as part of a team to navigate ambiguity and do great work

Nice to Haves:

• You're proficient with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Docker, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience shipping in a continuous deployment environment.
• You have worked at a B2B SaaS product company.
• You have an intuitive product sense and care as much about what gets built as how it gets built.
