General Summary:
This position works under the direction of the the Chief Clinical Officer. Responsible for the development, implementation, operation, supervision and evaluation of educational services. This is a safety sensitive position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Selects, interviews, hires, orients, supervises, evaluates and terminates assigned team members to ensure that patients are provided a safe, secure and positive environment where patient’s physical and socio-emotional needs are met.
Ensures the department meets patient needs and represents the department in due process and educational meetings for patients.
Maintains standards as required by State and Federal agencies pursuant to certification/approval of the school and accreditation of the agency.
Keeps communication open between team members, school and other program components.
Coordinates all aspects for students. (i.e. grades early semester tests, plans graduations and recognition’s etc.)
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Must possess a valid Arkansas teaching license with certification in Special Education; Master’s level preferred. Residential treatment experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Teaching experience required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Team members are required to sit, stand, talk, see, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must maintain a current tuberculosis skin test. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Founded in 1966, Youth Home, Inc., located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a private non-profit mental health provider. In the mid-1980's, Youth Home's program developed into a medical model directed by child and adolescent psychiatrists. Our continuum of care includes adolescent intensive residential and qualified residential treatment, specialty tracks, and school-based services, as well as outpatient services for individuals of all ages.
