ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage Advanced Quality Planning Activities for new launches and product /process changes as required.
2. Be the "Voice of the Customer" when making quality decisions in manufacturing.
3. Manage PPAP Processes for new launches including IMDS Submissions.
4. Manage Supplier APQP / PPAP Processes for Suppliers including IMDS Submissions to Baxter.
5. Manage Warranty Claims including investigation, determining root cause and corrective action; on-time responses.
6. Monitor and Manage all active Statistical Process Control Activities including performing Capability Studies where applicable.
7. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce nonconformances and improve Cost of Quality.
8. Provide direction and guidance as needed to ensure the integrity of the company’s quality systems and practices.
9. Identify opportunities to develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with customer, internal and supplier quality goals.
10. Provide direction in technical discussions with company personnel, customers and vendors; represent the company’s interest while negotiating and resolving claims.
11. Audit quality systems, products, processes and customer specific requirements as scheduled.
12. Help to organize and direct the inspection and test of raw materials, in-process and finished materials.
13. Manage the Nonconforming Material Process.
14. Examine returned material from customers, determine disposition and resolve claims.
15. Select skilled associates for specific job functions when and where necessary, provide on-going training and development to maximize potential;
16. Provide direction and guidance in the development of Corporate Quality Goals.
17. Support IATF 16949, VDA quality system; ISO 14001 environmental system (or appropriate equivalents); abide by and enforce company policy and safety initiatives (Most current levels).
18. Ensure that requirements of the CCAP documents are effectively established, implemented and maintained in all plants.
19. Correctly use CCAP certificate and mark, and ensure continuous validity of certificate status of products affixed with CCAP mark.
20. Track and Manage all Quality Metrics including, but not limited to: Cost of Poor Quality, Third Party Activity, External PPM, Customer Incidents, Customer Debits, Capability Indices, etc.
21. Address incoming quality issues as notified by purchasing; including: issuing requests for corrective action, reviewing and responding to submitted corrective actions, cost recovery and escalation as appropriate.
22. Act in the capacity of Quality Management when necessary.
23. Any additional duties as assigned by management.
