THE CALIBER GROUP, INC. is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Tucson, AZ

The Caliber Group, a brand marketing and public relations agency based in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a part-time or full-time Designer to join its talented team in Tucson, Arizona. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in an agency environment. The ideal candidate will have superior creative and technical skills and should be comfortable working across a variety of mediums.

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

§ Create and execute design concepts as well as maintain visual appearance, usability and brand continuity for clients working across a wide range of design disciplines, including website and landing page design, print and banner advertising, sales and marketing collateral, email campaigns, logo design, and more

§ Meet client and agency objectives and demonstrate value/results

§ Promote the agency’s brand, capabilities and culture among target audiences, the agency team, and the greater Tucson community

§ Be a dedicated, flexible and effective leader, problem-solver, and team member

§ Bring a positive attitude to work every day, towards every person

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

§ Create and produce a wide range of print-based and digital materials including social media graphics, e-blast graphics, animated gifs, web banners, posters, logos, brochures, identity materials and advertising

§ Create, apply and maintain client identity and branding standards

§ Create unique communication solutions for each client and develop responsive design concepts

§ Maintain the Caliber Group design standards through all design work

§ Provide constant communication with client and agency teams, and tailor working/communication style to individuals to build the best relationships possible to produce results

§ Master the agency creative process and continually work to evolve it into what works best for our agency and clients

§ Manage creative projects within the agency while staying on time and on budget

§ Continually keep abreast of and become an expert on relevant design and agency trends

§ Critically review agency creative deliverables from a strategic and client-side lens to ensure the agency is meeting client goals and delivering on its promise

§ Effectively present and sell Caliber’s creative work and capabilities to clients

§ Remain current with agency and client industry regulations and requirements

§ Foster and promote agency culture among current and future employees

§ Promote Caliber’s brand and capabilities to target audiences

§ Effectively manage time and utilization goals each month (self and personnel/contractors managed)

§ Develop a masterful knowledge of all agency creative services and costs

§ Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

JOB REQUIREMENTS

§ Design, Digital Marketing, Visual Communications or Related Degree

§ Minimum 2-5 years of graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud on Mac (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)

§ Experience using Asana; Zoom; Google Docs/Sheets; DropBox; Excel; Word, Powerpoint, etc.

§ A high degree of creative and artistic ability, attention to detail, a positive and flexible work ethic, ability to receive feedback, and strong sense of time management while working in a fast-paced environment

§ Ability to conduct tough yet effective conversations with clients, consultants, and team members

§ Experience presenting and selling creative work, ideas, concepts, and budgets

§ Ability to plan ahead, multi-task, and manage workflow to meet project deadlines

§ Experience applying a client’s visual brand identity across a variety of mediums

§ Strong oral and written communication skills

COMPENSATION

§ Full-time, salaried exempt, or part-time hourly position with compensation and benefits commensurate with experience

REPORTS TO

§ Associate Creative Director

SUPERVISES

§ Support personnel and/or independent contractors

REQUIREMENTS

§ If full-time this position requires approximately 40 hours per week (part-time hours TBD) using a computer, talking with staff, clients and vendors, and talking on the phone and using video conferencing, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday in Tucson, AZ. Some after-hours work/events are required

§ Connectivity outside of the office and business hours is sometimes required for certain situations, clients, or rush jobs
