We are seeking a front of house café assistant for our busy, fast-paced Monday-Friday breakfast and lunch café! You will be at the register greeting guests, taking their order accurately and assisting with the daily needs of the café.

HOURS SEEKING: Monday-Friday 9:30am-2:00pm.

LOCATION: Near the East Baltimore Johns Hopkins Medical Campus and West Baltimore University of Maryland Campus. Indoor Café in a Safe Hospital Building.

Job Responsibilities:

-Having a lovely presence at the register assisting customers with orders, taking orders through our user friendly Clover POS system, handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, expediting orders to customers (cafeteria style set-up similar to Panera Bread). We STRIVE ourselves on our customer service.

-Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café space. We use all compostable disposable utensils and products, it will be your responsibility to stock when low, tell the Manager when stock is low, etc. CLEANLINESS is a priority.

- Assist with minimal food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed. For instance, bagging French bread and butter for the daily soup, wrapping cookies and brownies for our bakery display, portioning pre-made pasta salad, making drip coffees to order, etc.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cash handling/restaurant role preferred

-*MUST be up to date on vaccines, if not, hospital WILL provide

-*MUST undergo training provided by the hospital and agree and pass to a background check

- Ability to handle fast-paced environments and work under pressure

We are located in a hospital setting and as required by the hospital, applicant must pass a background check and be up to date with vaccinations.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
