As the PreK-2 Librarian, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for reading and learning among our youngest students.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a diverse collection of age-appropriate books and resources for students from PreK to 2nd grade.Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate literacy and research skills into the curriculum.Plan and implement engaging library programs and activities to promote reading comprehension and literacy skills.Provide instruction to students on how to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery.Assist students in selecting books and resources that match their interests and reading levels.Stay current with trends and best practices in children's literature, library science, and educational technology.Manage the library budget, including purchasing new materials and resources as needed.Supervise library assistants and volunteers, if applicable.Collaborate with school administrators and other staff members to support the overall goals and mission of the school.
