JOB TITLE: Counselor
JOB CLASSIFICATION: PRN, variable; Non-Exempt
JOB PURPOSE: Provide counseling services for individuals and their families. Assist in program reports, development, marketing and expansion of the counseling program. Develop person-centered treatment plans for individuals served and measure goal progression.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide counseling services to clients and their families in both group and individual sessions.
• Assess, screen, analyze, interpret and evaluate medical, psychological, social, educational, employment and any other referral information received.
• Develop individualized and person-centered treatment plans, goals, progress notes, and outcome measurements to ensure compliance with funder guidelines.
• Complete necessary documentation and monthly reports in a timely manner.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Social Work. CRC, LPC, PLPC, or LCSW required. Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in computer programs. CPR and First Aid training are required and can be provided by agency upon hire if needed.
