JOB DESCRIPTION
The Center for Specialized Services is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities lead full and productive lives. Founded in 1986, the Center has been providing rehabilitative and support services in our community for over 30 years. The Center offers 17 programs individualized to meet the needs of participants. These programs include medical therapies, counseling, vocational and employment services, two adult day programs, and three social enterprises. The Center has helped thousands of people in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
JOB TITLE: Therapist
JOB CLASSIFICATION: 1099 contractor employee, Variable hours
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
JOB PURPOSE: Provide therapy services for individuals and their families. Provide group therapy services for individuals. Assist in program reports, development, marketing, and expansion of the counseling program. Develop person-centered treatment plans for individuals served and measure goal progression.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of counseling, social work, or related field (master's degree). Missouri license for counseling (LPC) required. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities a plus, proficiency in computer programs required. CPR certification, and first aid training required (these trainings will be provided upon hire along with required agency trainings).
