*Women's Health Scrub Registered Nurse / Gallup, NM *
*Local and travel position*
*Pay rate:* $55-58/hour Stipends for travelers
*Responsibilities: *
* Ensure the operating room is set up and equipped for gynecological and obstetric procedures, including sterilizing instruments and arranging necessary supplies.
* Aid surgeons during gynecological and obstetric surgeries, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, myomectomies, and tubal ligations, by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
* Oversee patients' vital signs during surgery, assist with positioning, and provide necessary support during the procedure.
* Accurately document surgical procedures, including instruments used, medications administered, and any complications encountered.
* Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand the procedure and recovery process.
* Adhere to strict infection control protocols to minimize the risk of surgical site infections and ensure a sterile operating environment.
* Work closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nurses, to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
*Requirements: *
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NM or Compact license
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in women's health surgery.
* 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
* BLS, ACLS, PALS, CNOR certification
