Job DescriptionJob Description: We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Maintenance Administrator to join our team at WJW Associates. The Safety and Maintenance Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our operations and supporting maintenance activities within our trucking company. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a commitment to upholding safety standards, and proficiency in utilizing technology to streamline processes. Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities using digital tools and software to identify and address potential hazards.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for drivers and other personnel, utilizing multimedia resources and online platforms.
Investigate accidents and incidents using digital reporting systems to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including inspections, training, and incidents, utilizing fleet management software and databases.
Collaborate with maintenance staff to support scheduling and oversight of routine maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities, utilizing digital maintenance tracking systems.
Monitor safety equipment and supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and coordinating procurement as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies for enhancing safety and efficiency, leveraging technology-driven solutions.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to safety and maintenance, utilizing online resources and professional networks.
Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed, utilizing technology tools to optimize productivity and communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, transportation, occupational health and safety) preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including DOT regulations.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels.
Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office and fleet management systems.
Experience with technology-driven safety tools and software.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
