We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Maintenance Administrator to join our team at WJW Associates. The Safety and Maintenance Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our operations and supporting maintenance activities within our trucking company. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a commitment to upholding safety standards, and proficiency in utilizing technology to streamline processes.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities using digital tools and software to identify and address potential hazards.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for drivers and other personnel, utilizing multimedia resources and online platforms.
- Investigate accidents and incidents using digital reporting systems to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including inspections, training, and incidents, utilizing fleet management software and databases.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to support scheduling and oversight of routine maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities, utilizing digital maintenance tracking systems.
- Monitor safety equipment and supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and coordinating procurement as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies for enhancing safety and efficiency, leveraging technology-driven solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to safety and maintenance, utilizing online resources and professional networks.
- Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as needed, utilizing technology tools to optimize productivity and communication.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, transportation, occupational health and safety) preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including DOT regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels.
- Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office and fleet management systems.
- Experience with technology-driven safety tools and software.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
