Woodbridge Inoac Technical Products is Hiring a Mechanical Process Technician Near Chattanooga, TN

I. ROLE PURPOSE

To be a team member within Process, MFE, and R&D groups to support the development and implementation of new products and other continuous improvement activities.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required. See relevant JSA’s and SOT’s for detailed safety instructions.

· Understand TS16949 and the Woodbridge Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through the Woodbridge Quality Policy.

· Keep area neat, organized, and clean as well as follow 5S principles as they are appropriate.

· Submit and implement Kaizen activities.

· Setup, operate, and maintain process and R&D equipment.

· Conduct lab pours and analyze samples, both qualitatively and quantitatively, based on test data

· Perform Preventative Maintenance activities

· Perform physical property testing of foam samples

· Organize and track chemical inventory

· Perform chemical unloads and transfers

· Maintain documentation and tracking of relevant KPI’s and leading indicators

· Perform HSE, quality, and process audits

· Cross train in other positions as required

· Participate in Gembas for current target issues

· Perform studies on all assigned machine centers relative to the target issues

· Other duties may be assigned as needed by the employee’s supervisor.

B. Supervisory Responsibilities

· Supervise trial activities. Provide trial plan, lead the trial events, issue reports following trials to needed individuals

· At times may be called upon to lead production teammates to perform trials

C. Education and skills required

· Prefer two-year technical training, Associate’s degree or military training and five years’ experience. A background in Industrial Maintenance would be an added benefit in this position.

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Strong chemical processing aptitude

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

· Must have the ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations.

· Ability to read and interpret documents and training materials such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

· Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.

· Ambient conditions without air conditioning is typical

· Standard work hours will consist of eight hours per day, five days per week on an assigned shift.

· Schedule hours may be altered as required by business conditions. This may be more (or less) than eight hours per day or five days per week. An ability to work overtime or irregular hours to include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays may be required for this position.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
