Job Description: Personal Injury Patient Representative

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Personal Injury Patient Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a comprehensive understanding of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits, medical documentation, and legal processes related to personal injury cases. As a Personal Injury Patient Representative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient case management, effective communication with various stakeholders, and accurate documentation throughout the lifecycle of the patients' episodes of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Organization: Efficiently manage and prioritize appointments, meetings, and deadlines ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and no critical dates are missed.

  • Communication with Outside Sources: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, insurance providers, medical professionals, legal teams, and other external stakeholders

  • Experience in PIP Benefits: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits, including coverage limits, claims procedures, and relevant regulations 

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with legal teams, medical experts, and other internal departments to gather necessary information, coordinate efforts, and facilitate a seamless care management process.

  • Medical Records Responses: Handle requests for medical records, ensure proper authorization and compliance with legal and privacy requirements

  • Deposition and Subpoena Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of depositions, subpoenas, and other legal documents, coordinating with legal professionals and external parties as needed.

  • Client Engagement: Maintain a compassionate and Patient-Focused approach, addressing inquiries, concerns, and updates promptly and professionally.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, legal regulations, and best practices,ensuring that your knowledge remains current and relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the legal, insurance, or healthcare sector is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits and relevant regulations.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Proficiency in using case management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and organized documentation.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with medical records handling, legal documentation, and case processing is advantageous.
