The Family Nurturing Center is Hiring a Director of Development Near Medford, OR

Job Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Director of Development serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting FNC. In partnership with the ED, this position is responsible for all fundraising and development activities. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build FNC’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. The Director of Development will have primary responsibility for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a $6M budget through the solicitation of major gifts, federal and state grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support. She or he will expand and diversify FNC’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives. In addition, the Director of Development will work closely with the board of directors and support board members as they take on a more active fundraising role.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field; or a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and fundraising, preferably in the nonprofit sector.

· Proven track record of successful fundraising and marketing campaigns.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong leadership and team management abilities.

· Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM software, and fundraising platforms.

· Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic planning and leadership

· Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and development strategy aligned with FNC’s goals.

· Lead the marketing and development team, providing guidance and support to achieve department objectives.

· Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Marketing and Communications

· Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and social media.

· Develop and manage the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

· Produce and distribute compelling content, incl. newsletters, press releases, annual reports, and website updates.

· Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to refine strategies and improve outreach.

Fundraising and Development

· Design and implement fundraising strategies to secure major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships.

· Build and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners.

· Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and donor recognition programs.

· Prepare grant proposals and reports, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.

Donor Relations and Stewardship

· Develop and maintain a robust donor database, tracking contributions and engagement.

· Implement donor stewardship programs to recognize and thank donors, fostering long-term relationships.

· Conduct donor research to identify potential funding opportunities and tailor engagement strategies.

Team Management and Collaboration

· Supervise and mentor marketing and development staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

· Work closely with program staff to understand program needs and communicate impact to donors and supporters.

· Coordinate with external vendors and consultants as needed for marketing and development initiatives.

Budget Management and Reporting

· Develop and manage the marketing and development budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.

· Monitor expenses and provide regular financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

· Monitor all donor information; provide and present statistical analysis to board and senior leaders

· Monitor and report regularly on the progress of the development program

Community Engagement and Partnerships:

· Develop and foster relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and other nonprofits to enhance FNC’s visibility and support.

Grant Management and Compliance

· Is involved in grant writing and ensures that grant funds are used appropriately, and reporting requirements are met. (this aspect may be a shared responsibility with Accountant and others directly involved in Grants)

Sustainability and Long-Term Planning:

· Focuses on developing strategies to ensure FNC’s financial stability / sustainability and growth over time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Pay: From $67,776.00 per year
